This project will create greater contextualization of events through annotation. Annotations include footnotes to the document as well as extensive cartographic representation. Captian Harry Gordon submitted the reports from the expedition but Lieutenant Philip Pittman and Ensign Thomas Hutchins drew the survey of the Ohio and Mississippi which was presented in Gordon's reports. The primary maps produced from this survey are included within this presentation.

     Throughout the Journal of Harry Gordon footnotes will highlight proper nouns and locations which may be unknown to the average reader. As well as pointing out which passages appear in different editions. 

     An Interactive timeline is annotated with key locations in chronological order of the expedition. The journal quote describing each location is annotated within the presentation.
